Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman arrived in New Delhi for a day’s visit. He was received by Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the airport with a warm hug. It is held India Saudi Arabia bilateral Meeting.

Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman was given the Guard of Honour as part of ceremonial welcome at the Rashtrapati Bhawan. He was accompanied by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President Ram Nath Kovind.

The visit will be closely watched for talks between the two leaders on terrorism and trade. Saudi Arabia has vowed to “de-escalate” rising tensions between Pakistan and India during the high-profile summit in Islamabad.

  • People involved in terror attacks should not just be blacklisted but tried and punished, and if there is evidence against the Jaish-e Mohammed and its leader Masood Azhar, he must be listed as a global terrorist at the UN, Saudi Arabia said today.

  • Both the leaders condemned in the strongest terms the Pulwama attack. They called on all countries to dismantle terror organizations, cut off financing and bring perpetrators of terrorism to justice.

  • PM Modi welcomed KSA investment of $100 billion in India in energy,  infrastructure, agriculture and petrochemicals.

  • Mohammed bin Salman recalled his last visit to India both recalled PM Modi’s visit to Riyadh in 2016 and also the Saudi King’s visit in 2014. He emphasized on friendship, the MEA said.
